Printing technologies for perfume boxes

We have created this article to answer to all the questions/requirements of all our potential new clients for private label perfumes. What should be the technologies that we could use for manufacturing a good perfume box as offset, embossing, hot stamping, etc … ), this is below a short explanation and possibilities that we can offer to manufacture your perfume box with your own logo as private label for your new perfume brand.

1/ Full-colour offset print : 

CONVENTIONAL 6-COLOR OFFSET PRINT
This is the most widespread technology for full-colour print, which gives the best image quality. We mainly print on paper and cardboard with a maximum printed sheet format up to 100/140 cm. The colour images are obtained by the combination of several colours. We use various systems for colour image print, as the principle in all is overlay of the raster grids of the different colours. The most common system for colour print is the four-color CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black), which in a combination of specially mixed colours from the Pantone Colour Chart or RAL recreates as much as possible a more realistic picture of the world around us. We have modern printing machines, produced by the German companies MAN ROLAND and KBA, capable of digital memory of the features and the colour values at each reprinting and software control of the printing process.

2/ UV 6-COLOUR OFFSET PRINT :

We offer a fresh and modern solution for packages of luxury products with recognizability and style. This print enables a high-tech performance with effective solutions through a print on metallized and conventional foil surfaces. The technology allows the use of metallized inks in the production, which achieve the effect of hot stamping.

The UV offset print is an innovative production, which allows shorter technological processes, facilitation of technical capacities, saving costly raw materials, efficiency and quality, a new line and offering a contemporary vision of the product packages with high standard.

3/ Hot Stamping (Embossing, Hot-foil Stamping) :

Hot stamping – this is a print method by covering separate elements with gold, silver or other colour effect, through foil. It is used to highlight specific elements in order to complement the vision of the printed product, achieving an impressive effect, impossible to recreate with printing inks. With the hot stamping method it is possible to apply a special foil /scratch/, which can subsequently be mechanically removed. This method is widely used in advertising campaigns and product promotions on the market. The embossing is a type of operation, similar to hot stamping, which aims to leave an embossed stamp on the paper. The reinforcement with a relief of a certain text or design element of the printed product achieves a particular impact on the perception of the customer.

4/ Varnishing :

The varnishing is a process of refining the printed output by applying different kinds of varnish on the surface of the printed sheets. Special varnishing printing devices (sections) are required for the application of varnish, which most often are connected with the printing machine in line, i.e. the application of varnish is carried out after single or multicolour print. There are several reasons for that – protection of the inks, gloss, vivid perception of the separate image details, etc. The varnish is selected depending on the application technology and the varnishing requirements.

 

STANDARD TECHNIQUES

1/ UV Varnishing :

The application of UV varnish coating after the printing process aims to emphasize on the vision and colours, allowing the displayed package or label to be recognized as a high quality product. There is also possibility for partial application of varnish coating.

2/ Matt Varnish :

The use of matte varnish provides a specific vision of the printed product, demanded by the client, where the printed surface has no reflections from the environment.

INNOVATIONS IN VARNISH COATING

We offer application of varnish coating by using EFFECTIVE VARNISHES:

varnishes with holographic effect;
iridium protective varnishes, giving metallic effect of the vision and strength of the material;
pearl varnishes with a metallic effect, as well as many other modern effective varnishes.
With the implementation of different effective varnishes in our production we expand the range of packaging products we offer. The quality and durability of the packages is also improved, which acquire certain characteristics and advantages of PVC and OPP packaging products. The vision of the package has a powerful effect and the design opportunities are diversified.
The purpose of the application of these innovative varnish coatings is to optimize the production capacity, to reduce the need for various costly raw material and material resources, and to achieve a competitive market price, taking into account the future trends for search of new economic and market possibilities for an ecological and cheaper production, and at the same time with a high class. These modern materials enable us to develop a wide range of packages with a new and different presentation of products on the market.

A/ Foil Lamination :

The foil lamination is a technology that has a great importance in the packaging of food products, which have a direct contact with the carton. Both the quality of taste and the vision of the accompanying packaging are preserved; so are the health and hygiene aspects taken into account.

THE CONVENTIONAL TECHNOLOGY includes the use of conventional foil coatings. We have foils with different thickness, which can be either matt or gloss.

B/ Cardboard Lamination :

The cardboard lamination is carried out through the application of various types of paper and cardboard on different types of corrugated cardboard. The implementation of a print over paper and cardboard provides its higher precision. The result is a robust and reliable transportation package with a significantly better vision, which successfully replaces the conventional multipacks from corrugated board.

C/ Die Cutting :

Die cutting – the structural design of a package or label occurs in the technical construction of the printed product. The stage of die cutting forms the product by cutting, creasing and other partial operations such as cutting a window with different shapes, which achieves the desired visual effect and optimum functionality. We offer a wide range of die cutting machines with different shapes and principle of operation. Thus, we enable our clients to offer on the market packages with complex shapes, aiming to diversify and break the product visions that are generally accepted by the customers.

D/ Folding-Gluing :

We have several folding-gluing production lines – Bobst Media ІІІ 100, Bobst Mistral 110 and Bobst Mistral 110 CS, Jagenberg Diana 75, which offer possibility of automatic gluing and folding of different package types from cardboard and corrugated cardboard up to six-point gluing, including packages with different bottom constructions.
